Sport Physiotherapy
While many of us participate in sports to keep us fit and healthy, unfortunately injuries do occur. It is vitally important that you get any injury seen to as quickly as possible to avoid long term problems, or re-injury and absence from the sport you enjoy.
While many therapists focus on simply reducing the symptoms of a sporting injury, all of the therapists at Perfect Form Physiotherapy are specially trained to establish the root cause and contributing factors to your pain. This helps get you back on track much faster, and will prevent further recurrance of the same injury in the future.
For example, repeated sprains of an ankle may have deeper consequences that you realise. Simply getting the ankle to stop hurting will not solve the reason why you keep spraining it in the first place. Weaknesses further up in your hip and core are often the true cause of recurrent injury.
As all sessions are 30 – 60 minutes in length, in a one-on-one environment, we spend time teaching you self treatment techniques and self care strategies so that you do not need as many visits to the clinic.
Our therapists have a wide range of personal involvement in the following sports, allowing them to treat you better.
- All forms of dance (Including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Salsa, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Pole, Irish)
- Rock Climbing
- Competative Swimming
- Yoga
- Acrobatics
- Cycling
- Gymnastics
- Personal Training
- Weight Training
All initial assessments are for a full hour to establish the true nature of your injury and provide appropriate and comprehensive treatment. Call us today to make an appointment on 02 9922 7721.
